Britannia Row Empowers Future Audio Talent at BRIT Awards 2026

Britannia Row Productions has once again bridged the gap between education and the professional stage, mentoring students from the BRIT School’s Production Arts course during the 2026 BRIT Awards. As the ceremony made its historic move to Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, Britannia Row deployed a sophisticated audio infrastructure featuring industry-leading technology from DiGiCo, L-Acoustics, and Shure. Amidst this high-stakes environment, 18-year-old students Bo Sorensen and Tyanne Lloyd were integrated into the crew, gaining hands-on experience in show preparation, warehouse logistics, and live broadcast execution.

The 2026 edition featured a blockbuster lineup, opening with Harry Styles and closing with an all-star tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, alongside performances by ROSALÍA, Björk, and Olivia Dean. For the students, the placement offered a rare look at the scale of professional live sound engineering. “We’ve gone from asking ‘can you hear that microphone?’ to being part of a team broadcasting to millions,” noted Bo Sorensen, who intends to apply for Britannia Row’s Live Audio Technician Apprenticeship. Tyanne Lloyd, who assisted BRIT School alumna Olivia Dean with her microphone, credited the experience with sharpening her professional drive and overcoming personal doubts, proving that determination is the key to success in the technical arts.

The initiative highlights the critical role of industry partnerships in securing the future of the UK creative arts sector. Tom Brown, Account Executive at Britannia Row, and Audio Crew Chief Liam Tucker praised the students’ commitment and technical growth, noting their seamless integration into the professional team. By providing real-world access to major events like the BRITs, Britannia Row and the BRIT School continue to cultivate the next generation of “backstage stars,” ensuring that the technical excellence behind the scenes remains as vibrant as the talent on stage.
